Merge PDF files
Merge PDF files into one document for free. Drag to set the order, then download. Files are combined in your browser and we never upload your file.
or drop PDF files here. We never upload your file.
What this tool does
Merge PDF joins several PDF files into a single document. Every page of the first file comes first, then every page of the second, and so on, in the order you set. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.
How to merge PDF files
- Choose two or more PDF files, or drop them onto the box above.
- Put them in order. Drag a file up or down, or use the arrow buttons next to it.
- Select Merge PDF and wait for the bar to fill.
- Download the merged file. It is called merged.pdf; you can rename it once it is saved.
What happens to your files
We never upload your file. The merge runs inside this browser tab, on your own device, and the result is created there too. Your documents are not sent to our servers or stored by us. Close the tab and nothing is left behind on our side.
What it cannot do
- It cannot open a password-protected PDF. Remove the password first, using the password you already have, then merge the unprotected copy.
- Bookmarks from the original files are not carried into the merged file.
- Fillable form fields may not stay fillable after merging.
- The files you merge at once can add up to 200 MB. Beyond that a browser, especially on a phone, can run out of memory.
Frequently asked questions
How do I combine several PDFs into one?
Add two or more PDF files, drag them into the order you want, then choose Merge. The pages of each file are copied in that order into a single new PDF, which you can download straight away.
Do you upload my PDF files to merge them?
No. We never upload your file. The merge runs in your browser on your own device, so the documents are not sent to our servers or stored by us at any point.
Will merging change the quality of my pages?
No. Pages are copied as they are, not re-rendered or re-compressed, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password first, using the password you already know: open the file in your usual PDF reader and save or print a copy without protection, then merge that copy.
