What this tool does
It fills in a PDF form, such as a job application, an insurance claim or a school form, without printing it. Many PDF forms have real fill-in fields: they are found when the file opens and shaded so you can see them. Type into text boxes, tick checkboxes, choose radio buttons and pick from lists, and press Tab to move to the next field. A flat form with no fields works too: click where an answer goes and type, tick a box, stamp the date or add your signature. It is free, with no limit on how many files or pages, no signup and no watermark.
How to fill in a PDF form
- Choose the form, or drop it onto the box above. The editor opens and says how many fields it found.
- Click a shaded field and type, or use Tab to go from one to the next.
- On a flat form, choose Add text, Tick or Date and click where each answer goes. Choose Sign to sign it.
- Select Download, then keep the fields fillable or lock your answers in.
What happens to your form
We never upload your file. The form is opened and filled inside this browser tab, and the finished copy is made there too. We store nothing and remember nothing for your next visit. The original file is not changed: you download a new, filled-in copy.
What it cannot do
- Old Adobe XFA forms, the kind that only say "Please wait" outside Adobe Reader, aren't supported. You are told when a file is one; open it in Adobe Reader instead.
- Calculated fields, such as a total, don't update themselves: the form's scripts don't run.
- It does not create new fields. On a flat form, type on top of the page instead.
- A digitally signed form loses its signature once filled in here. You are told before you download.
- Whiteout covers but doesn't remove: what is under it is still in the file. To take something out for good, use Redact. Redaction doesn't touch the file's metadata, such as its title and author.
- Answers can be in Latin, Cyrillic or Greek letters. Arabic, Hebrew and Indic scripts can't be added.
- The file can be up to 200 MB.

Frequently asked questions
Choose the PDF above. If it has fill-in fields, they are shaded: click one and type, and press Tab to move to the next. If it is a flat form with no fields, choose Add text, click where your answer goes and type. Then select Download.
That is your choice when you download a form with fields. Keep form fields fillable leaves them editable, which some offices need. Lock everything in makes your answers part of the page, so they can no longer be changed in the fields.
Yes. Choose Sign, then draw, type or photograph your signature, and it is placed on the page for you to drag onto the line. A picture of a signature is not a certified digital signature, which is fine for most everyday forms.
That is an older Adobe form type called XFA, which only Adobe Reader can fill. This editor tells you when it finds one. Open it in Adobe Reader, or ask the sender for a regular PDF form.
It is free with no limit on how many files or pages, no signup and no watermark. We never upload your file: the form is opened and filled inside this browser tab, which matters for forms full of personal details.
