All PDF

Frequently asked questions

These questions apply to the whole site. Questions about one tool, such as how Split PDF reads a page range, are answered on that tool's own page.

Is All PDF really free?

Yes. Every tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermark on your files and no daily limit on how many you process. The site is meant to pay for itself with advertising, not by charging for features.

Do you upload my files?

No. We never upload your file. Every tool runs in your browser on your own device: your documents are read, changed and saved there, and are not sent to our servers or stored by us.

How can I check that my file is not uploaded?

On a computer, press F12 to open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network tab, then run a tool. You will see the page load its own code, but no request anywhere near the size of your file. Our guide "Are online PDF tools safe?" walks through it step by step.

Can anything else on the page see my file?

Our tools never send your file anywhere. Like most free sites, the pages also count visits and are meant to carry advertising, and those scripts run in the same browser tab. We never pass them your files, their names or their contents.

How large a file can I use?

The files you process in one go can add up to 200 MB. Because the work happens on your device, very large or very long documents also depend on how much memory your computer or phone has.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Every tool works in a current browser on Android and iPhone, as well as on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS computers. There is nothing to install.

Can I convert a PDF to an editable Word document?

Not yet. Turning a PDF back into an editable document reliably needs heavier processing than we can yet do well in a browser, and we would rather leave a tool out than offer one that gives a poor result.

Why does a tool say my PDF is password-protected?

The file is encrypted, so it cannot be read without its password. Use Unlock PDF with the password you already know to save an unlocked copy, then use that copy in the other tools.

Who runs All PDF?

All PDF is run by Bitlabs Technologies LTD, the same team behind the Any QR code generator. You can reach us at hey@all-pdf.app.
